Besides, Google doesn’t use a dessert with two words as the OS’s name. Thus, Quaker Oats is out of the equation. Notwithstanding, the cereal is blissful winks. Five Expected Features of Android Q OS
Without further ado, let’s dig in to see the new babies Android Q is expected to greet us with.
Dark Mode
For those with eye issues whenever they see a smartphone’s screen for too long, the Dark mode is here to be your knight in shining armour. The primary advantage of this feature is that even it doesn’t rely on third-party apps possessing the feature or not. A couple of third-party apps like Xender and Telegram support this Dark Mode. Multi-resume
This is an improvement to the split-screen functionality of apps introduced in the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It’s better in the sense that users can be active on both apps opened in a tab which is unlike the split-screen whereby only one app is active.
Assisted Dialing
The impact of this feature is that your phone will automatically detect country codes of numbers you dial in your dial pad. That’s an interesting one.
Desktop feel
With this on board, users can use tablets as though they were PCs. This feature is otherwise known as the Desktop experience. Samsung latest flagships have what’s known as Samsung DeX feature that converts the smartphone into a computer. Reports have it that Google will make the Desktop experience similar to Samsung’s.
Warning on “old app” installation
Since the Android Q is destined for enhanced security, apps that are separately designed for Android 5.0 Lollipop, Android KitKat and older generations won’t be installed just like that.
