The feature known as Account Recovery allows users to call friends to get codes that can be used to reset passwords or open accounts. Citing Phone Arena, friends who can be called are not random, but only people who are trusted and must be registered with Apple as a recovery contact.
How it works:
If the user forgets the password, the user can quickly call someone in the Recovery Contact, then the trusted recipient gets a code that will be sent on their iPhone and give it to the user. The locked-out user has to enter the given code to log into their account again and create a new password. The Recovery Contact feature is said to only be used by iPhone users over the age of 13. Apple is scheduled to release iOS 15 in September, to coincide with the launch of the iPhone 13. What are your thoughts about this feature? Share in the comment box below.
