Key features of Facebook lite includes fast loading of images, chatting with friends, managing your Facebook pages/groups, posting on your timeline and stories, commenting, liking, and sharing posts as well as other basic activities on Facebook. It is no wonder that Facebook is the largest social network in the world today. With several resources and a good part of internet users, it is natural that everyone is on the network, sharing more and more messages, photos, videos and links. There are plenty of options to use it: the version of Facebook for cell phones, Facebook for iPad, Facebook Messenger, for those who like to chat, and even Facebook Pages, for those who coordinate pages on the site. A new application has arrived to complete this family: Facebook Lite, available for Android, focuses on bringing a minimal experience for slower internet connections.

Just the essentials
And when I say “essential”, I mean it! The Facebook Lite for Android sets aside all modern look that other network applications have to be as light as possible. Fortunately, this cut rewards users: the app doesn’t take up much space on the phone’s internal memory (it’s less than 3MB, while the conventional one has almost 35MB, not counting the temporary files), it doesn’t consume as much RAM and battery and can be used with very slow connections, even in 2G. In other words, this Lite version is the perfect solution for you who had to feel sorry to see your data package go away just to enjoy some photos around. The Facebook Lite also received a considerable reduction functions compared to traditional mobile version – which, incidentally, was well below the web version of the network – but the basic tools are still available. View the news feed, post and share photos and messages, add people, join groups, manage notifications, search for users, all of this is possible within the app. To be honest, a question is very welcome: private messages are made directly in Lite, without the mandatory need to download Facebook Messenger. Opinion on Facebook Lite
Mark Zuckerberg’s team nailed the Facebook Lite proposal. With so many users in countries where the internet is not all that good (like Nigeria), a lighter application provides a better experience for these people. As always, some flaws exist – and they are serious, such as the impossibility of auto playing some videos, even though they are on Wi-Fi, but the app is, in these cases, better than the mobile version of the site, much more blocked.
